Rangers 3 White Sox 2 Now this is better. We had the game won in the last inning and then gave it up on 2 mental errors in right. Bill Snowden pitched a dandy for the White Sox. This man exudes baseball and exemplifies the competitive spirit that the rest of us should mimic.
White Sox 8 Athletics 9 Tigers 8 White Sox 3 er...I think we are on a skid. If we could rely on a select few individuals to uphold their commitments to play a measly 16 games, then we could compete. Not naming any names...yet. You would think that the NWA Freeloaders would at least show up if they are getting a free ride. C'mon fellas...it's not fair to your teammates to leave them hangin'...--Anonymous

White Sox 7 Giants 3 If the July sun weren’t hot enough, White Sox Pitcher Eric Cole, brought plenty of his own heat as he whiffed 21 Giants in his complete game, 7-3 victory Sunday evening, at Rogers Veteran Park. But, due in equal parts to Giant’s starting pitcher, Jerry Kahl’s 5 strong innings in his season’s 1st start and some uncharacteristic Sox defensive lapses, the Giants held a 2-0 lead into the 4th. But D. Anthony Hall’s frozen rope solo shot down the left field line put his team on the board. The Sox put up a pair in the 7th when Jamie Nuessner’s (3 for 4) single sent Stephen Boudreaux and Alan Garrison across the plate for a 3-2 lead. As Cole continued to mow down their hitters, the wheels came off of the Giant defense. Taking advantage of 5 consecutive errors, including a Keystone Kops rundown scene, in the 9th, the White Sox plated 4 more for the 7-3 final.--Dave Reeder (Giants)
White Sox 7 Eagles 1 The White Sox, with the help of a couple of Braves started off the season right with a victory over last year's Diablos squad that has been re-branded, the Eagles. The White Sox first 5 hitters went 13 for 19 on the game and proved that if the balance of the core Sox were present, all would be well with the world. Alex Fortin gets the win on a complete game gem.-S. Boudreaux White Sox 13 All City Braves 1 In the second game of the Sox double-header, the Sox batted 12 in the first inning scoring 7 runs on their way to the rout of the expansion Braves. Eric Cole took the win for the Sox as he blew past the Braves hitters in the complete game. The highlight was a bullet ripped shot by D'Anthony Hall over the left field fence...a line drive homer that had the whole park stunned. -S. Boudreaux
